Is the market for car audio systems slowing down?
mdntblu asked the question:
I was thinking about opening a car audio/video store and wanted to know if the market for this type of service is slowing down or staying the same? It always seems like these types of services including offroad truck lift kits, custom cars, etc. is always booming. Anyone in this industry have any thoughts on it?

people will always be into putting money in to there car. there car or truck is what represents them. but they can only put money into there car if they have the money. and today economy isnt exactly great and not everybody has that extra money. but those who do will always be putting money into there car.
Well that all depends on how you look at it. I think it is about the same but, I believe there will be less of a demand soon. About the only people buying car audio/video are people with older cars. Most new cars already have Bluetooth, navigation, good sound systems, touch screens and DVD players. The only new car owners that will be doing anything to their cars are folks that want to spice up their cars and have LOTS of money. Those guys are usually adding major changes to their vehicles. The regular, everyday person, with a lack of cash in these days, will be content to use what came with the car.
The market isn’t by any means slowing down. The market is changing, but you can expect car audio to still remain. Even as car manufacturers offer higher quality car audio options, they’re often extremely overpriced. Savvy car audio enthusiasts know they can get better value for their money by looking in the aftermarket. If you’re looking to open a store, just be sure to carry products from manufacturers that everyone is seeking and the rest will take care of itself.
if you build it they will come inless you live on buckner by me they have about 12 audio shops on this road all in a 10 mile radius and all of them sell nothing but a bunch of shit and they all do great business if you sell good quality stuff and a fair price and do great installs people will talk and more people will come
